In a world of science fiction books where, to me at least, it seems the same stories are being told over and over again just with different characters, this is a truly original story. I originally picked this book up on the recommendation of a class mate. Once I started it, I could not set it aside; I even purchased the kindle version so i could continue to read when i did not have the physical book with me.without giving away anything, the author was able to develop characters that are easy to relate with, yet inspire at the same time. The author takes you through a gambit of emotions, and really makes you interested in the characters and their development. The way that both fantasy and real life is intertwined in this book keeps you on your toes and guessing what will happen next.
I even got my wife to read it, and she generally only "reads" audio books or watches the movie.
I would recommend this title to anyone who is interested in a truly original and motivational blend of science fiction and reality.

God knows that the world needs a savior! Fritz Franke, in his Savior Project series of books, has provided us with Chris Gates, an unsuspecting baseball player who discovers he has not only been chosen, but was created by helpers from another world to rise to our defense! Franke has created a well built and complex world that draws us into Gates’ adventure with him. Franke is a terrific storyteller with a vivid imagination that has created characters and a fantasy world that I love! There is nothing like a book that makes us want to keep reading more. A super series! Bring on the next one! I want to know what happens next! This is one case where I want the series to be long so I can live in the world of Terlokya for as long as possible.

Franke has delivered a piece of true sci-fi genius by incorporating alien life forms, aeronautic history, strong family ties & camaraderie so strong that nothing can break it. And as if that wasn't enough he then added just a tiny smidge of romance on the side.
Astounding writing produced not only a strong male lead but also likeable and loveable characters. Although I might change my mind about the Veloceptors (just thinking about them makes me cringe & chuckle at the same time).
True sci-fi should make your imagination soar. And this story delivers. The pure mastery is that its not an in your face monsters everywhere saga, but so easily could be our true reality, that is if you believe we are not alone. As the author unfolds each new piece of the story he gives you time to deliberate what this will mean for the characters. The more time you think about it the more you will fall in love with it.
This reader will anxiously be waiting for part two in the six part series.
Absolutely an engaging story! I couldn't put it down from the moment I opened it up in . The story draws you in, and doesn't let you go. Am anxious for the next book! This is a must-read for any sci-fi fan! Fritz Franke is a master story teller!
We read this book out loud to our three boys. It is always tough to find a good book to share with our teenage sons. This story has it all- baseball, aliens, spaceships, etc. We really enjoyed the author's writing style. The story was captivating. We are not big science fiction readers, but we enjoyed this one. Our only complaint is that by the time you are starting to really get into the characters and the story, the book ends. It was obviously written as part of a series, but we feel like we were left hanging. We are anxious to see what happens in the next book.

I’ve known the writer since HS! Back then he got me hooked on reading his articles and history/English class papers. I was so proud and ecstatic that he became published! Normally; if I can’t be engrossed after a few pages; I stop reading that book. The Chosen One has me hooked! I lost sleep reading it. Looking forward to the next adventure!!
This story has a cinematic feel. I love the concept of an alien race that is not hostile for once, but trying to help. This is an ambitious, overarching story that intrigued me. There's a good balance between normal vs. strange, along with science fiction, baseball and politics. Charming characters, a touch of the supernatural through genetic manipulation and a sense of urgency hidden in the depths of an otherwise leisurely pace. A good read.
